Day 8 thankful post
So today’s thankful post is…. I’m thankful I was raised in the 70′s and 80′s! We were the last generation to be raised disconnected from the technology train. We didn’t have cell phones, we didn’t have home computers (unless you were wealthy as hell). We actually LOL’d with our friends face to face. We hand wrote notes to pass in school and would die of embarrassment if the teacher intercepted them..
Do you think Kevin likes me? Ask him but don’t let him know that I want to know if he likes me or likes me likes me!!!
We didn’t turn on the Wii fit or Kinnex to get our exercise, hell no boy.. we went outside! We’d be outside til the street lights came on and our parents didn’t worry cause they knew we were never alone! Every body knew everybody in the neighborhood. My kids will never get to know that kind of life and that saddens me. So today I’m thankful for being raised in a time that was just perfect for me!
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. It was OUR times.
Exactly… could you imagine if my mom coulda called me whenever?????
