Shifting winds from the north bringing cold and rain
Resurfacing the loneliness and with that the pain
Like the leaves swirling in the crisp autumn air
Thoughts twist and turn too dark too share
Sadness seeming forever unending
Self hatred is always pending
Wondering what it was that I did so wrong in my past
To condemn me to such dark emotions that will ever last
Silence is an indulgence not tolerated in my head
For the stillness is deafening provoking thoughts of being dead
